Gothic Cabinet
From around 1550, Northern Germany. Oak, old patina.
Strongly protruding cornice with carved ornamental bands.
The front is structured by four doors, the upper two doors having two
coffers each, the lower doors four coffers each. The fillings are decorated
with rich carvings, so-called folds.

The outside rim as well as the door rims are decorated with carved ornamental
bands.
The base is a mirror reflection of the cornice, strongly protruding with
similar ornaments.
The lisenes have three-dimensional carved lions.
